Efficacy of Amniotic Membrane-Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy for Burn wounds: Metaanalysis study

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background : Burn injury is a trauma with high morbidity and mortality that requires special management from the start. stem cells have generated great hopes for treatment of numerous conditions including burns. The Metaanalysis was performed these preclinical studies to assess efficacy possible mechanisms Amniotic Membrane Mesenchymal Stem Cell (AM-MSC) in treating burn wounds. Methods: . Seven identified by searching PubMed, MEDLINE, databases inception October 2020. In addition, manual search references obtain potential studies. Stata 16 used all data analysis. Results overall meta-analysis showed AM-MSC therapy significantly improved healing rate (SMD 3.34, 95% CI 1.82 4.86), irrespective transplant type, area, method control groupConclusions: exerts appears exert positive effect wound healing, mainly through angiogenesis anti-inflammatory actions. There is, therefore, justification continued efforts evaluate variations future clinical using treat order maximize effectiveness. use as an adjunct first-line therapies

The effect of amniotic membrane extract on umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cell expansion: is there any need to save the amniotic membrane besides the umbilical cord blood?

Objective(s): Umbilical cord blood is a good source of the mesenchymal stem cells that can be banked, expanded and used in regenerative medicine.  The objective of this study was to test whether amniotic membrane extract, as a rich source of growth factors such as basic-fibroblast growth factor, can promote the proliferation potential of the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells. Materials and ...

Comparison of Characteristics of Human Amniotic Membrane and Human Adipose Tissue Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are ideal candidates for treatment of diseases. Amniotic membranes are an inexpensive source of MSCs (AM-MSC) without any donor site morbidity in cell therapy. Adipose tissue derived stem cells (ASCs) are also suitable cells for cell therapy. There is discrepancy in CD271 expression among MSCs from different sources. In this study, the characteristics...

mesenchymal stem cell therapy for multiple sclerosis

human mesenchymal stem cell (msc) can be isolated from bone marrow (bm) and differentiated into multiple lineages. these properties make them promising tools in cell and gene therapy. up to now, no definite therapeutic intervention for late stages of multiple sclerosis (ms) has been found. we decided to inject ms patients with autologous expanded msc. five patients participated in this ongoing ...
